Not sure which you have? Apple menu, then About This Mac. A line saying Chip: Apple M… means Apple Silicon. One saying Processor: Intel means Intel. Picking the wrong one still runs, just slower.
Getting in

Open the disk image and drag Retake to Applications.
The usual Mac install. Eject the disk image afterwards.

Right-click the app and choose Open, just the first time.
Double-clicking shows a warning that macOS cannot check the app. That is because Retake is not yet signed with a paid Apple developer certificate, which is on the way. Right-click, Open, then Open again is the way past it.

Sign in, or accept your studio's invite.
An invite email opens the app straight into the right workspace.

Point it at a folder.
Your own projects folder, or, if you are joining someone else's studio, one folder to keep their work in so it never mixes with yours. The first backup starts on its own.
Needs macOS 13 or later. Updates arrive inside the app, so this is the only download you need.
