Every save, kept

Go back to any version.

Hit save and Retake keeps a copy. It also writes down what you changed: a new track, a plugin on the bass, a tempo change. Scroll back through your song and see how it got here.

Bring back just the set, or the whole project folder exactly as it was, samples and all. Deleted something last week? One click, it's back.

Your samples, sorted

Find the right sound fast.

Retake listens to every sample once and works out the tempo, the key and what it is. Kicks between 124 and 128. Anything in F minor. Tag them, star them, drag them straight into Live.

Same sample saved twice under two names? Retake spots it. Bought a pack? Drop the folder in and it's filed and shared.

Made for collaborating

Two producers. One song. No missing files.

It just opens

When a set lands on your collaborator's Mac, the samples are already where Live expects them. No hunting, no red "media missing" list.

Nothing gets overwritten

Both of you saved the same set? Both copies are kept, side by side, and both are in the history. Nobody's afternoon disappears.

You can see each other

Who's working on what, right now. Bounces saved next to the version they came from. A feed that says what changed, not just "file modified".

01

Locked before it leaves

Files are encrypted on your Mac before upload with a key that belongs to your studio. Nobody else can read them, including us.

02

Nothing gets corrupted

Every file is checked against its fingerprint when it goes up and when it comes down. What you saved is what you get back.

03

Your files stay yours

Your projects are normal folders on your disk. Cancel any time and everything stays exactly where it is.

Pricing

One price for your whole studio.

Producers work in twos and threes. So Retake is priced per studio, not per person.

Questions

Does it change my Ableton projects?

No. Retake only watches your files. The one thing it touches is a set that arrives from a collaborator, where it points the samples to the right place on your Mac so Live opens it clean. Your own saves are never edited.

What if we both save the same set at the same time?

Your copy stays. Theirs is saved next to it with their name on it, and both are in the history. Nothing is merged, nothing is lost.

Where are my files?

Encrypted in Cloudflare's cloud storage, with the list of what's what in a database in London. Only the people in your studio can see any of it.

I have a huge sample library.

Fine. Retake only uploads the samples your songs actually use, so 200 GB of packs costs nothing until a set touches a file. Turn on full mirror if you want the whole library backed up.

Live 10? Other DAWs?

Live 11 and 12 today. Backup, versions and the sample library work for any folder. Reading what changed inside a set is Live-specific. Other DAWs are on the list.
